You may be asked to attach your test repository to a ticket so that we can examine it in detail.

If you are able to start Web Performance Load Tester you can submit the repository or test case from right within the program.  In fact, this is a great way to initiate a support ticket since everything required to solve your issue is already included!

1. Start by clicking on Help->Support Request:

2. Enter the Email address on your portal account.

3. Fill out the fields indicating its a test repository and specifying the ticket number if this is a followup to an existing ticket.

4. Attach the entire repository if possible.  If you get an error because the repository is too large there are a couple of things to try.  If you are having a replay error you can select just the test case in question.  The other option is to copy this repository and then delete everything not of interest to this issue, and then attach the copied and smaller repository.

If you can't start the program for any reason, you can still login directly to the support ticket platform:

A. Login to Freshdesk

1. Go to http://webperformance.freshworks.com

2. Find this ticket.

B.  Locate Repository

Load Tester supports two different repository formats (.wpt and .wptx). One is a single file (.wpt) and the other is an extended format (.wptx). The extended format is the default. It contains multiple files and has much higher storage capacity.

If you are using a single-file repository format (.wpt), you can simply close Load Tester and then attach that file to the ticket.

If you are using the extended repository format (.wptx), then you have several options. Option 1 is preferred.

  1. Save the repository as a single-file repository (.wpt) from Load Tester's File menu. For very large repositories, this may fail.  If so, try option #3.
  2. Or close Load Tester, and then zip all the files and attach the zip. If the main repository filename is "myrepo.wptx", then you must also include the folder "myrepo_files" (and all the files it contains) in your zip file.
  3. Create a new single-file repository (.wpt) and copy the relevant resources (testcase, loadtest result, etc). Then close Load Tester and attach the new repository to the ticket.

C. Attach Repository

Once you have the repository reply to the ticket and click on the attach file icon.  (It looks like a paper clip.)
