When recording SSL test cases Load Tester uses a man-in-the-middle certificate to capture the data traffic. Since browsers and operating systems are continually upgrading their security, users often will have to install new root certificates, new server certificates, or re-install everything. If you are experiencing a problem recording with SSL follow these instructions:
1. Quit Load Tester.
2. Delete “rootca*” from the folder “.webperformance” in your home directory.
3 Delete the Web Performance ROOT certificate from the Windows certificate store.
4. Delete all of the generated certificates as per this blog post.
5. Start Load Tester and follow the previous instructions for re-installing the root certificate.
6. When recording a test case using HTTPS new server certificates will now be automatically generated.
